Newsletters

Welcome to our Newsletter page!

Our aim is to keep parents and carers fully informed of all that happens in school, while also ensuring that no one feels overloaded by emails. To help with this, we include as much information and as many key dates as possible in our weekly newsletters, which are sent out on Friday afternoons.

The newsletters are written by the Headteacher, Mr. Puxley, and provide a clear summary of the week’s events, upcoming activities, and important notices.

We also contribute regularly to the quarterly Sawston Scene magazine so that the wider village community can stay up to date with what is happening at our school. Often, it is the children who take the lead with the reporting and photography, so do look out for their work.

Every teacher writes a ‘topic letter’ or class newsletter at the start of each term, which is uploaded to the class page. These letters outline the key learning for the term and share how parents and carers can support their child’s learning at home.

Important notice

It has come to our attention that a Facebook page has been created for The Bellbird Primary School. We would like to make it clear that this page has not been set up or managed by the school. Our current policy states that we do not use social networking sites, so any information shared on that page has not come from the Governors or staff at our school.

We are, however, excited to announce that we will soon be launching the school’s official social media platform. This will provide a reliable and secure way to share updates, celebrate achievements, and keep our school community connected — so do look out for more information coming soon.
